Born in South of France in a family of an Italian immigrant, Nathalie was raised in a little town of miners nearby Marseille.
Her first steps in fashion were to practice knitting with her grandfather at the age of 8, and making pretty jersey dresses for her dolls by making holes in a pair of socks.
After a Fashion Design and Pattern Making diploma at ESMOD, she continued her studies with a masters of Arts at the Beaux Arts School of Marseille Luminy.

After years of working as a freelance designer & pattern maker for fashion brands from jeans wear to high fashion evening dresses, Nathalie decided to break up with the fashion industry in 2013 and take time to concentrate on her creativity. Finding another way and purpose in fashion she is working on her collections as if researching in a laboratory, exploring new way of embroidery, knitting or weaving.

Passionate for music, photography and collecting band t-shirts since her childhood, Nathalie decided to explore these passions for building her mixed collections. Using textile waste, used clothes and old fabrics dead stock that she reconstructs and embellishes to create unique clothes or limited series with their own DNA

When Nathalie opened a showroom with her creations on the first floor of a Vintage shop in the Puces de Clignancourt in Paris in 2014 it was an immediate success with Fashion Stylists and customers.

She decided to move from Paris to London in 2016 attracted by the creativity and the open minded of new wave of English fashion design. Nathalie created her own Company in July 2017 to enforce her brand that is now on sale in two shops in France: L IMPERATRICE since September 2017 and MANIFESTE011 in PARIS since March 2018.
