LAGE

LAGE is inspired by the stories and atmospheres of films, each collection being an interpretation of a story capturing and revealing its character in the form of jewellery. By evoking an ethereal atmosphere, the genderfluid pieces are meant to be worn as a reminder of the importance of daydreaming and seeing beauty in the mundane. The pieces tell a reimagined story through texture, composition and proportion rooted in tactile, imperfect and sculptural qualities that come together to create unique pieces that are versatile to wear.

Created in 2020 by the Portuguese London-based architect Joana Ferro, LAGE combines the passion for design, handcrafting and art.

The organic process of handmaking jewellery is incredibly rewarding and much like architecture, understanding how a piece comes together requires a symbiosis between the making and designing with continuous experimentation being at the core of the creative process.

LAGE is a Portuguese brand and pieces are designed and handmade in our East London based atelier. With a sustainable practice in mind, we rely on local suppliers, casting and gold plating workshops located in Hatton Garden, supporting the long-lasting local heritage of craftsmanship. All materials used are ethically sourced and recycled where possible, such as recycled silver and brass for all cast pieces.
